For 50 years, Killarney has been home to swimmers from entry level to national level competitors. The success of their programs is possible through the partnerships they’ve established with companies and individuals who graciously donate items for their yearly silent auction.

Calgary Drop In & Rehab Centre
The Calgary Drop-In Centre is an essential service, meeting the needs of people who are homeless or at risk in a respectful, comprehensive and safe way. Providing opportunities for people to rehabilitate and rebuild their lives, they offer care and shelter to those in our community who need it.
Merle Norman Signal Hill proudly supports the work that they do, having contributed in-kind donations to the Annual Shift Change Café Event, a United Way fundraising campaign that supports the DI.
Ernest Manning High School – Robotics Team
The Ernest Manning High School Robotics Team is made up of grade 10-12 students interested in Engineering, Technology, Communications, Business and Science. The program inspires young people to be science and technology leaders, providing students the opportunity to design, construct and compete in high-profile, innovative robotics competitions.
Merle Norman Signal Hill has contributed silent auction prizes to help raise money for the team’s tools, equipment, parts, travel, and competition expenses.
Believe in the Gold
Believe in the Gold supports families that are affected by childhood cancer, increases awareness about childhood cancers and raises funds for vital research initiatives that affect one in every 400 kids.

Calgary Rotaract Club
The Calgary Rotaract Club is a Rotary Int’l associated club of young professionals who come together to make a difference in our local and global community. With the motto “Service above Self”, they volunteer with various organizations, events and charities within Calgary.

Bearspaw Ladies Legacy Charity Dinner & Silent Auction
Merle Norman Signal Hill has generously supported the Bearspaw Ladies Legacy Charity Dinner by donating auction items that help to raise funds for charitable causes within Calgary. Each year, the club selects a beneficiary within the community who provides essential support for those that they serve.
Springbank High School – Kids Cancer Care
The Kids Cancer Care is a charitable organization helping families fighting childhood cancer in Alberta by providing funding and programs for primarily outreach, research, hospital, education support and scholarships.
Merle Norman Signal Hill has proudly partnered with Springbank Community Highschool’s Kids Cancer Care fundraising events, providing pro-bono waxing and beauty services to help raise money and awareness for those families fighting cancer.
Distinctive Women – The Alex Community Health Centre
Distinctive Women is a national publication and online community that showcases exceptional entrepreneurs and outstanding achievers across Canada. Each year, they hold the Second to None Fashion Show, where all proceeds go towards a charitable organization.
Merle Norman Signal Hill has donated our products and makeup artists to the event, getting the models runway ready to raise money in support of The Alex Youth Health Centre. The Alex breaks down access and social barriers by tailoring services to meet each individuals needs. From babies to seniors, their clients receive the special and unique care that they require.
Miss Teen Calgary
Miss Teen Calgary is a symbol of empathy and grace, and is both a public figure for Calgary and a liaison for charities within the business community. Her role lasts for 1 year in which she will attend over 150 events to draw attention to, increase awareness of and garner support for our local charities. Delegates must meet certain criteria - mainly public speaking ability, professionalism, maturity and a desire to help others. Being a contestant is a fun and challenging opportunity.
